It’s time to dust off your boots and start planning your weekend—the Laura Rodeo is back from 26–29 June 2025, promising four days of thrilling rodeo action, family fun, and community connection.
Hope Vale Foundation is proud to support this iconic Far North Queensland event by sponsoring the Ladies Steer Undecorating, and the Open Bull Ride, Ladies Barrel, and the 8–11 Mini Bulls Trophies.
Michael Goddard, Secretary of the Laura Rodeo & Campdraft Association, shared his appreciation:
“We are a small community organisation relying heavily on sponsorship in order to attract the best of the best and deliver a high-quality event for the Far North
Queensland community. We’re very grateful to Hope Vale Foundation for its support. We expect a large turnout from Hope Vale at the event.”
Participation in the rodeo also helps local riders gain broader recognition, with points contributing to their Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft and Rodeo Association (ABCRA) rankings—opening doors to national competitions and professional growth.
The Cape York region has a proud history of skilled riders, and events like the Laura Rodeo are key to continuing that legacy. Hope Vale Foundation and the Laura Rodeo & Campdraft Association are also in discussions to partner in delivery of rodeo clinics at the Laura Rodeo grounds for young people from the Hope Vale community, nurturing future generations of riders.
This year’s rodeo promises to be bigger and better than ever. Whether you’re in the ring or cheering from the stands, don’t miss this celebration of strength, skill, and community spirit.
